Government Affairs Call (GAC)

What is the GAC?

One of the most valuable resources available to OEDA Members is our Government Affairs Call (GAC)a monthly 30-minute conference call that connects you directly to policy experts, legislative updates, and advocacy discussions.

Each month, our lobbyists from Tonkon Torp, along with leaders from OEDA’s Policy Council and other key partners, provide an overview of priority bills, updates on OEDA’s advocacy efforts, and announcements from across Oregon’s legislative landscape. Members also have the opportunity to share concerns, collaborate on regional issues, and ask direct questions to legislative experts.

With an average of 100 members on the call, many use it as a go-to resource for staying informed—whether actively contributing to conversations or simply listening to important updates.

Why Should You Join the GAC?

If you have a passion for advocacy or want to be more involved in shaping policies that impact your community, this is the place to be. Even if you’re just curious about what’s happening in our state capital, the GAC provides a valuable window into the legislative process and issues affecting Oregon’s economic ecosystem.

If you don’t have regular access to lobbyists or a dedicated government affairs department, or if you work in a smaller, rural, or underserved community, the GAC is your opportunity to stay informed on critical legislative issues and engage with policy experts.

Whether you’re advocating for local policies, looking for legislative support, or just staying in the know, the GAC is your direct connection to Oregon’s essential economic policy discussions.
