Celebrate Economic Development Week with your community and OEDA! Economic Development Week was created by the International Economic Council in 2016 to increase awareness of local programs that create jobs, advance career development opportunities, and improve the quality of life in communities everywhere.
This year, OEDA members thought it would be helpful to choose a theme for Oregon EDOs to focus on for Economic Development Week. This year’s theme is Infrastructure in Action. With the approval of $1 trillion in infrastructure spending by the federal government late last year, this topic is particularly timely. This week provides EDOs with the opportunity to highlight challenges, wins and progress (including grant applications) on infrastructure projects and issues, from land availability and roadways to childcare and broadband.
