Carter Gudell is the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Builder for the Oregon Frontier Innovation Hub, one of Business Oregon’s Regional Innovation Hubs, hosted at the Rural Engagement and Vitality Center in La Grande. The Frontier Hub covers ten eastern Oregon counties. Carter’s job is to shorten the distance between a founder with a promising idea and the funding, technical expertise, & talent that idea needs to succeed. In Eastern Oregon, closing that distance is the whole job.

After graduating from UMass Amherst, Carter came to Oregon through the “R.A.R.E.” AmeriCorps program, serving Visit Central Oregon and industry partners on tourism economy and livability work. A homegrown variety from western Massachusetts, he has also worked in urban forestry, summer camps, and personal care for adults with disabilities everywhere from New England to Australia.
