Oregon Film was formed in 1968 and works to promote the development of the film, television, commercial, and interactive industries and to enhance their revenues, profile, and reputation in Oregon and internationally. We do this in several ways, including overseeing and managing the state’s media production incentive programs; providing grant and education funding through our Creative Opportunity Program ; and creating and developing the Oregon Film Trail.

The Oregon Film Trail is a first-of-its-kind statewide initiative, marked by 49 physical signs and growing, with a companion app featuring hundreds of mapped filming locations. It gives communities a framework to build film tourism and celebrate Oregon’s rich film history and culture.
