Job: Senior Planner

Newberg, Oregon

The City of Newberg is now accepting applications for

Senior Planner

Salary Range (171) $5,601 to $7,170 per month
Non-Represented, Exempt Position
Includes full benefit package with PERS retirement plan

Recruitment is open until filled – First review on December 8, 2017

Serve in a lead capacity providing direct assistance to the Community Development Director, as a subject matter expert, in the performance of all aspects of a variety of complex land use planning work in such areas as land use, community development, cultural, special planning studies, urban design and architecture, transportation planning, and code and policy development. Assist in implementing regional planning initiatives in coordination with other local, state and federal agencies. Perform complex and challenging specialized functions with minimum direction and supervision.

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Master’s degree in a closely related field; and, five (5) years of experience of closely related job experience. Certification in the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) desired.  See full job description.
