Job: Economic Development Coordinator - Marion County

Marion County is looking for a collaborative team lead to add to our innovative economic development team of three. We are a visionary group who needs a smart, responsible team member to help oversee the program’s efforts under the county’s economic development strategic plan, guide the development and direction of the program, and work collaboratively with leadership at all levels. The Economic Development Program staff member writes and manages grants, invests economic development dollars, produces professional documents, provides oversight of budget expenses, prepares reports, and manages special projects. If you genuinely like people, have sound leadership and organization skills, enjoy taking on challenges, feel comfortable making suggestions, and are skilled at thinking creatively about solutions, please consider joining us.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree with major course work in economic development, community development, business administration or a related field; AND
  2. Two (2) years of experience in economic development, community development, business/ program development; OR
  3. Any satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience relevant to the position.

Monthly Salary:  $5,038.80 – $6,746.13
