Join us for the next course in the Oregon Economic Development Training Program to learn about approaches and strategies for business retention and expansion. Participation in this training session also counts as 8 credits towards the Oregon Certified Economic Developer Program.
Business retention and expansion (BRE) is a core feature of an economic development program. It’s important to understand why communities do BRE and what activities and program comprise a BRE strategy.
You’ll leave this interactive training with an understanding of:
- Overview of BRE and why communities do BRE
- Establishing a BRE program, Do’s and Don’ts of BRE, and discussing infrastructure
- Programs/Resources available for BRE, Key Partners to involve in a BRE program
- Putting Learning and Resources into Practices (Actionable ways to use the information provided)
