Join us for the next course in the Oregon Economic Development Certification Program to learn about approaches and strategies for business recruitment and lead generation.
Participation in this training session also counts as 8 credits towards the Oregon Certified Economic Developer Program.
Business recruitment and lead generation is a core feature of an economic development program. It’s important to understand why communities do business recruitment and lead generation and what activities and program comprise a recruitment strategy.
You’ll leave this interactive training with an understanding of:
- Overview of business recruitment and lead generation and why communities do recruitment
- Preparing your community: assessment, information gathering, and assembling a team
- Generating and working with leads: techniques, responding to leads, infrastructure & workforce, presentations & lead visits, creating deal package
- Putting Learning and Resources into Practices (Actionable ways to use the information provided)
